Year 2 Curriculum overview summer 2
Our teachers are Mrs Robinson and Miss Turpin.
We are supported in our learning by Mrs Eldridge and Joel.
Reading: Children will have a reading book to bring home which is decodable and assessed to be at their current level. Please read with your child as often as you can and sign in their record. Children can read a mixture of their school books and books from home, but please record this in their reading record books to help teachers see what the children are enjoying reading. The children also have a Super Six reader challenge – this is a book to share together and talk about. Reading wallets MUST be in school everyday please!
A round up of the week will be put on Class Dojo – we love to hear your comments about what we have been doing.
A water bottle must be in school everyday – hydrated learners make great progress!
Move up day 2026
What an exciting day we have all had in Year 3 today! This morning we have been busy creating paper plate faces for our learning celebration wall, playing duck duck goose and name that character outside on the astro. This afternoon we accepted the challenge of the ‘who can make the tallest tower’ Taskmaster competition. It was a great laugh and we ended up with some pretty creative towers. It has been great fun getting to know you all and I look forward to welcoming you into Year 3 in September.
