Year 4 Curriculum overview summer 2
Welcome to our lovely year 4 class! Our teachers are Miss Senior and Mr C. Our learning is supported by Mrs Lane.
PE: please ensure you have full PE uniform on our PE days.
Reading: wallets will contain the children’s book matched to their reading age and a library book of their choice. Children can read a mixture of their school books and books from home; please record this in their reading record books as we love to see what the children are enjoying reading.
Homework: The Fab 4 home learning will be sent home every Friday – children should complete a short task in all 4 areas. The tasks set will support practice and consolidation of skills and promotion of children’s communication and language skills.
Move up day 2026
Moving up to Year 5 was an exciting and memorable experience. We spent a wonderful day welcoming the Year 4 students into our
classroom and helping them settle in. Together, we stayed busy with a variety of creative activities, including writing thoughtful prayers,
designing beautiful stained glass windows, and solving tricky tangram puzzles. We also shared some quiet time reading and had an important chat about the rules, expectations, and exciting opportunities waiting for us next year. It was a really nice day that
made everyone feel ready and eager for the journey ahead.
