VISION & VALUES
Mission Statement: ‘Everyone will be given the opportunity to shine!’
At Oakfield CE Primary School our Christian values of Love, Trust, Honesty and Hope support the spiritual and moral development of our children and the wider community. These four values are at the heart of the Christian faith and we believe that these make our school a nurturing and caring environment in which to grow and learn. A place where everyone is supported and given every opportunity to use their talents. We use these values to guide our daily lives in school, staff and children alike strive to demonstrate Love, Trust, Honesty and Hope towards one another in all situations.
In recognition of how important our School Values are, we acknowledge individuals from each class who have been observed by staff or their peers to have demonstrated the School Values.
When asked what Christian value best describes Oakfield School, one pupil responded, `Well it`s easy that isn`t it….they love you here …and that means everything!`.
Our School Values are displayed throughout the School, including the main hall where you will find quotes such as:
Love: God is at the heart of what it is to be a Christian. It means putting others before yourself and not expecting anything in return. We give love and respect others as we are all made in God`s image.
Trust: Trust in God and you will be led on the right path. Trust in God and in others in the hope that they will not let you down.
Honesty: Prayer is not a performance. It is not an attempt to impress God. Prayer is honest communication. Transparency is the cornerstone of intimacy in any relationship, including our relationship with God.
Hope: Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar like eagles; They will run and not grow weary; They will walk and not be faint.
