Mr Snelling-Year 3/4 (Key Stage 2)

Welcome to Years 3 and 4

Mr Snelling has thoroughly enjoyed teaching Years 3 and 4 this year.

As a team we are looking forward to the summer term and all the wonderful opportunities for exciting learning. Please see our summer letter which tells you more.

We have been working alongside Mrs Robinson’s class and Mrs Scovell’s class and get together for a variety of lessons every week. Miss Wheeler, Mrs Branska, Mrs Hendey, Mrs Ritchie, Mr Lycett, Mrs McGuire and Mr Evans are also part of our team and we have all been working together to build our explorative, resilient and caring mixed Year 3 and 4 classes.

We our located at the top of the North-west stairwell in the main building. We are lucky enough to have windows along two entire walls that give us stunning views of the Solent.

In Computing Lessons for year 3 and 4 we are introducing coding, using Scratch.

This can be extended with ‘self-help’ home learning.
To assist with this we have added a few ‘web links’ below:

https://scratch.mit.edu/parents – This is a link to the Scratch website with information for parents

https://scratch.mit.edu/download – This is link to download Scratch for ‘Off –Line’ use on Windows and Mac Computers

https://scratch.mit.edu/ – This is a link to set up an Online account – to enable Scratch to be used on Browsers on Android  and Ipad Tablets

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BdBV-Cy9fNg   – This is a link to a video that we used in school that explains all about Scratch in child terms.
